Function:

The Probate Law Advisory Committee monitors the probate code and studies related areas of law. The Committee also prepares the annual supplement to the Kansas Judicial Council Probate Forms 2d.

Assignment:

The 2008 supplement to the Kansas Judicial Council Probate Forms 2d was published in July of 2008.

The Committee is currently considering unitrust conversion legislation, insurable interest under irrevocable life insurance trusts, the Kansas Power of Attorney Act, reference to the Kansas Inheritance Tax Act in the probate statutes, and will review the 2008 amendments to K.S.A. 59-1507b contained in 2008 HB 431.
