Function:

The Civil Code Advisory Committee monitors the civil code and related areas of law.

Assignment:

The Committe will review 2008 SB 537 relating to certain privileges and costs under the code of civil procedure, consider the Notice to Judgment Debtor form that appears on the Council's website and K.S.A. 60-2310 upon which the form is based, and review a proposed change in the wrongful death statutes.

The Committee will continue its review of an extensive set of “style” revisions to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure that became effective 12/01/07 to see if they should be adopted in Kansas.
