Protection from Stalking Forms |
||
|
K.S.A. 60-31a04(c) states that the protection from stalking forms “shall be prescribed by the Judicial Council”. The following revised protection from stalking forms are the result of a two-year revision process that was intended to bring Kansas protection orders in line with the goals of Project Passport. Project Passport was initiated by the National Center for State Courts and was designed to improve recognition and enforcement of protection orders within and between states and tribes by encouraging states and tribes to adopt a recognizable first page for protection orders. The first page of each order uses common data elements that were identified by multi-disciplinary teams from around the country. The uniformity of the first page of protection orders ensures that essential data will be readily available and easily recognizable across jurisdictions. This consistency and the ease with which law enforcement will recognize the meaning and significance of the order will increase the likelihood of enforcement of Kansas protection orders as well as those issued by another jurisdiction. The following forms will be downloaded into a new window and are available in PDF, WordPerfect and Rich Text Format (RTF) which will open with Microsoft Word. Note: To view and print some of these documents you need special software, available for free at Adobe Acrobat® Reader™. 2009 REVISED PROTECTION FROM STALKING FORMSFor more information on the revisions, please see the Report from the Family Law Advisory Committee to the Judicial Council.
