The Judicial Council has statutory authority to prescribe the protection from abuse forms. See K.S.A. 60-3104(c). The following protection from abuse forms were revised in July 2012 to comply with 2012 HB 2613. That bill made a number of changes in the law, including allowing a plaintiff to seek an extension of a protection from abuse order for up to the lifetime of the defendant in certain circumstances. Forms are available in PDF and Microsoft Word.
